The Little Snowman Who Lives on the Tree

A crochet snowman head in a top hat, £7, light enough for any branch. Meet the littlest snowman in the Christmas batch.

The Little Snowman Who Lives on the Tree

Before the week ends, the smallest snowman in the craft room deserves his moment. This one does not stand on a shelf — he hangs from the tree, swinging gently every time someone walks past, catching the fairy lights on his carrot nose.

Handmade crochet snowman head ornament with black top hat, holly and carrot nose on a ribbon

He is a crochet snowman head with all the important features: a proper black top hat with holly and berries, a carrot nose, button eyes and a ribbon to hang him by. At £7 he is one of the friendliest faces in the Christmas ornaments — and light enough that even the droopiest branch can hold him.

He is made from cotton yarn, so he keeps his shape year after year. Wrap him in tissue at the end of the season and he comes out next December looking exactly as cheerful, ready for his spot on the tree.

He pairs beautifully with the freestanding snowman — one on the tree, one beneath it, and suddenly the whole corner of the room is a snowman scene.

You can find him here in the shop. Handmade in Devon, posted across the UK and worldwide — and like everything in the batch, when he is gone, he is gone until I make more.
