Green and Neutral Fabric Tulips — The Quiet Corner of the Posy

Every tulip family has its show-offs, and then it has this one: the green and neutral fabrics, the calmest corner of the collection. This week's journal gives them their turn.

Handmade green and neutral fabric tulips in white patterned, dark green mottled, beige sage and pale green cottons

There are four cottons in this family, and they are the ones for people whose houses are all oatmeal, sage and wood: a white with a fine black pattern, a dark green mottled, a beige with a sage green leaf print, and a pale green mottled. Same £4 a stem, same green felt leaf, same tiny pearl at the tip of every petal.

What I love about this family is how it plays with the others. Three or four neutrals with two pinks tucked in looks like something from a posh flower shop. All neutrals on their own look quietly Scandinavian, especially in a stoneware jug.

All four prints are in the drop-down menu here. Sold per stem, made by hand, posted from Devon across the UK and worldwide.

Thank you for reading the journal. Next time the snowmen get a word in — they have been queuing patiently all week.
